Hi, everyone!
Today we went to the event for naga shi somen. We meet kindergarten students and some people from the neighborhood first, then begin to walk to the places we had already set up bamboo flume yesterday.
Before we arrive our destination, we stop at Kokuzo shrine for a break. I and my partner had a chance to take a look of this shrine. Unlike Aso shrine, this shrine is away from the downtown which located in a cozy and quiet country side. This is also the first time for me to see what a complete shrine is like. I think anyone here would feel blessed and this definitely worth-seeing place while you visit here.
We finally arrive! It’s a pretty long walk for us, especially under the hot and sunny weather, but we do enjoy the beautiful scenery and chatting with these kids. The host had already been waiting for us. We had somen, rice ball, dago jiu soup, and some tomatoes and cucumbers are grown by the hosts themselves here. This is the first time I had some, it’s really tasty also the best food for the hot summer weather.
